ShipLevy Fuel Surcharge Lite for WooCommerce lets you add a configurable percentage-based fuel surcharge to shipping costs in your WooCommerce store. When a customer has a product from the selected category in their cart, the surcharge is automatically calculated as a percentage of the shipping total and displayed as a separate fee line item.

shiplevy-fuel-surcharge-litefolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen. - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Fuel Surcharge to configure the surcharge percentage, product category, and label.

How is the surcharge calculated?

The surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the cart’s shipping total. For example, if shipping is $10.00 and you set the surcharge to 15%, a $1.50 fuel surcharge fee will be added.

Is the surcharge taxable?

Yes, you can enable or disable tax on the surcharge from the settings page. When enabled, standard WooCommerce tax rules apply to the surcharge fee.

What happens if the cart has free shipping?

If the shipping total is zero (e.g., free shipping), no surcharge is applied since the surcharge is a percentage of the shipping cost.
