Instead of deleting categories, tags, or custom taxonomy terms that may be needed again in the future, simply change their status to **Draft**. Draft terms remain available in the WordPress admin and can be restored at any time by changing their status back. Upload the plugin to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install it through the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the **Plugins** menu in WordPress. 3. Open **CV Categories Status** from the WordPress admin menu. 4. Select the taxonomies you want to support. 5. Save your settings. 6. You can now change supported taxonomy terms between **Published** and **Draft**. ## BUJ ### Does the plugin delete taxonomy terms? No. The plugin never deletes terms. It only changes their status to **Draft**, allowing them to be restored later. ### Does it support custom taxonomies? Yes. You can enable the Draft status for supported custom taxonomies. ### Can I restore a draft term? Yes. Simply change its status back from **Draft** to make it visible on the frontend again. ### Does this affect existing posts?
