Search for plugin to install in your WordPress website.
Edit the page/post/custom post type and select image block
Click on “Media Library” button to open WordPress media popup
Select the “Openverse/Pixabay Images” tab
Search for images
Change image file name, image title, caption, description, etc.
Download the image into the post/page/custom post type
Image successfully added to the current edit post content
Publish post and view URL
Image visible into the fron-end. Easy 🙂

Uzstādīšana

From within dashboard (recommended)

Navigate to Dashboard > Plugins > Add New;
Search for Free Asset Library;
Click Install, then Activate.

Manual installation

Download the plugin as a .zip file;
Unzip downloaded archive and upload free-images folder under your /wp-content/plugins/ directory (resulted plugin path should be /wp-content/plugins/free-images/**);
Navigate to Dashboard > Plugins and activate the plugin.

Sadly the latest update creates a dashboard message that you can’t get rid of regarding usage data submission.

Such a perfect, well thought(how do i say this, the lightbox work you did), fast and simplest plugin 🙂 just a suggestion: I wish there be one like this for unsplash too (or can be incorporated to this) & yes option for size too.
