This is what I was looking for. One thing that would be great, is to have an individual auto-reply for each form.
Tested in a Multisite with domain mapping on PHP 7.3, WP 5.3 and Jetpack 8.2.

Works as it should in 4.9.8; I like that you can use {Field labels} in subject/message 🙂
Two changes would make this not just good, but great:
ability to have a subject/message per contact form (since you may have several forms with differing fields on the same site)
the settings should be in the editor, where you define the fields (that would make the UI simple for keeping auto-reply-settings specific to one form)

I needed the field label “Email” to make it work. It worked immediately and quickly.

Customers report that auto replies are being flagged by gmail with scary warnings of possible fishing, etc.
