I like the fact that this exists, since WP does not provide a privacy policy consent checkbox, to my suprise. However, in WP-version 5.6.2, there are three things not good with this plug-in: (1) The message that is sent to the blog owner contains only empty values, for every single field that is supposed to be collected. Even the IP-address of the commenter. (2) After a user succesfully submits a comment, the user is routed to the Home page of the website, instead of showing the same blog post with the comment that was just entered. (3) The check box itself is colored red when checked, while red signifies danger. Adjusting the styling of the checkbox is very difficult.

I was looking for something to add to comments so that they can be GDPR-compliant. So many of the plugins out there are intrusive. This one is simple to use and customizable. I’ve installed it on all my client sites which need GDPR compliance. The developer is very responsive and it looks like he will be attuned to suggested features.
